The last day

Date- 21/5/22 Today, we were sad as we were to leave. We packed our bags, took a good look at the cliff, and said goodbye to Butterscotch (a kitty we met there).  We hopped into our cab and started our journey back home. But, surprisingly it wasn't over just yet. Our driver took us to one "hidden" spot that only locals knew about. We had to track through the woods to reach the place. I was tired but as soon I saw the place I was utterly speechless.  We were on the very top of a hill. We were able to see every other hill from there. The blues sky filled with grey clouds and the cool wind completed the ultimate experience. There were a few benches here where you can sit and enjoy the view. We sat here for a while and then we decided to sit on the very edge.  From here we video-called my grandparents again and talked with them for a little while. Here there was a little shop selling juice as well but unfortunately, we didn't buy any. We took in the view for an hour or ...

Day-4

Date-19/6/22 Fun at resort On our last day at the resort, we decided to relax the whole day, after all, we had come to eat and sleep. We woke up late, had our breakfast and watched some TV and then decided to take a walk around our resort. We wore our shoes and took our cameras and started to track. As we were out in the nature, we saw the fog comes towards us. I felt so excited just by seeing the fog. Also soon, it started to drizzle.  We took a lot of pictures here and also video called my grandparents. When we came back to our resort, there was a rainbow right in front of the infinity pool. It looked so dreamlike and fantastic! The fog made it hard to click perfect pictures but it was delightful to experience this. In the evening, we decided to go for a swim- even though it was quite cold. I forced my sister to come with me.  We wore our swimming costumes and jumped into the freezing water. Me and my sister were shivering badly. We tried to enjoy but it was extremely cold. ...

Mapro It was around 5-5:15. We took our cab towards our resort. We were in Panchgani from there it was a ride of 2 or more hours.  It was around 7p.m. and my dad told us that there was a very famous restaurant on the way. Mapro was the name.  We were excited to have some nice food because although we ate a lot we still weren't satisfied- there was no variety. We were only eating sandwiches and paneer and roti.  Here, I also ordered a pizza and my mum ordered a sandwich. It was soo good the beautiful weather and the scenery made it even more enjoyable the view                                          We got to know that Mapro had a lot to offer. Like pizza, hot chocolate, coffee, soup, french fries, and sandwiches- that too of great quality.  The specialty here was "fresh strawberry cream". We already had that a couple of times but we still could not resist and had...

Destination 3- Tableland plateau We reached here at 4 p.m. This plateau is the second largest plateau in Asia. It's so huge that we have to take a horse ride to reach the other end! It was quite cloudy now.                                         We took a horse ride and started to reach the edge to see the view. When we reached there, I felt that we could actually see the whole town. It was so pretty. And of course, we clicked a lot of pictures.  The lighting, the background, the weather- everything was just perfect!  But I was getting hungry and also thirsty. When asked the local people told us that at one corner of the plateau, there was a small shop selling noodles, cold drinks, and stuff. We decided to check it out. We needed to take some steep steps in order to reach it.  It was like a shop inside a cave. There, we also came to know about a cave known as the Dev...

Destination 2- Elephant's head point  For lunch, we went to a nearby restaurant. There they were also growing strawberries and we were allowed to go and take a look around. (Mahabaleshwar is famous for strawberries). We ate a little there and then we went to yet another famous spot- the Elephant's head point. At that time of the day there were no clouds so it was quite sunny. But still, the elephant rock looked very accurate and it was enjoyable.  We drank some tea and ate a little here as well (we ate a lot during this entire trip). The scenery was mind-blowing. I didn't expect to see such a wonderful scene so close to Ahmedabad. There were several mountains and between them was a lake. The clouds filled the sky and increased the overall beauty of the place. We clicked so many pictures that our phone's memory card became full.  We became tired (mostly mentally) as we were walking a lot.  Me and my family drank some tea here and ate again (we ate a lot during th...

Date 18/6/22 Destination 1- Arthur's seat  On our third day, we woke up had breakfast and we were off for another spot. We went to a popular destination- Arthur's seat. Our cab driver said that aurther's seat was well known as it is always covered with fog. I was super exited as i have never been to a foggy place. I have only witnessed smoke.  We reached there at around 10 a.m. It was fantastic to say the least. there were trees like a millon of them, hills, river, waterfall, birds, monkeys and most of all- peace.  We had to climb a lot of staires to reach the "arthur's seat". The climb was fun as well as there were small shops all the way up. The were selling noddles, lemonade, soda etc. The view from the seat was picture perfect. The fog around the majestic hills looked wonderful. Here we cliked a lot of pictures.  Soon, the fog started coming. suddenly everthing turned hazy. The atmosphere became even cooler.  We started to climb down and when i looked...

Destination-3: Venna Lake After exploring the village our next stop was  Venna   Lake. This lake is well known for boating. So, we paid 100 rupees per person and wore our life jackets. Then, we embarked on a boat. The boat ride was calming. It was raining slightly and it was quite windy. We also saw a temple on one of the banks beside the lake.  The sailor told us that this lake would soon overflow with water as there would be heavy rains. We talked for a little while with our sailor and then he helped to click our photos. the temple on one of the banks The boat ride was our last stop for the day. We then got into our cabs and made our way to our resort. As mentioned before, Our resort was 10kms away from the city which takes about half an hour to reach. We had our dinner at our resort and relaxed after.

Destination-2: The Village Next, we went to a very different place. We visited a man-made village. The entry fee was 100 rupees per head.   This village was a replica of villages during the time of Shivaji Maharaj.   It was beautifully made. It was so detailed that even the dirt on the nails of the villagers was visible. This village had so many villagers, cows, well, children playing with marbles, horses, stables, hay, hens, and even a whole village house- all man-made! Women making flour One can enter this house and take a look at the interior and the utensils placed inside. You can easily imagine the people in 1656 cooking food and feeding their animals here.  There was even a swing inside the house . There was also statues of kid and their guru teaching them. There were so many things to see and do here. We also tried to take out water from the well. the utensils they used Here, the sky started turning grey again and it started to pore. As it started to rain, t...

Date-17/6/2022 We started our second day early with some high tea. We packed our caps, sunglasses, and waterbottles and began our travel in a taxi. Destination 1:The Pratapgarh fort To reach the fort we had to walk uphill (which was tiring). The entry was free of charge. There we booked a guide to inform us about the making of the fort.  We got to know that it was built by Shivaji Maharaj in 1656.  It is believed that Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaja was blessed with a shining sword at the temple of Goddess Bhavani here. And some more interesting facts. Here we also drank some refreshing beverages. I saw this place when I was searching for tourist points in Mahabaleshwar. It was beautiful to see such an old fort filled with greens all around.  When you continue walking on that trail you eventually come to a garden. This garden was full of colorful flowers.  There was also a big statue of Shivaji Maharaj on a horse holding a sword there. Around this statue, was a so...

Day- 16/6/2022 We took a train from Ahmedabad till we reached Pune-Maharashtra. From there we booked a cab and reached our resort at around 11:30.   Rockford  Resort was about 10 km away from the city. It was located on a cliff. ass our rooms were facing the cliff, it had a magnificent view.  The resort also had a majestic infinity pool (but the temperature was too cold to swim). On the first day, we decided to just relax at our hotel. We clicked a lot of pictures and enjoyed the view. after, we took our lunch at the resort restaurant which was also facing the cliff.  Later we again sat at a table beside the infinity pool and clicked some more pictures. There we also met a cat (who was following me around) and named it Butterscotch. As the evening approached, the weather changed and the sky turned dark grey. The atmosphere turned foggy. The mountains disappeared which were previously visible. We took a little nap as we were tired after the long day. When we woke up, ...
